Hard boiled eggs are one of the best things you could cook in your Instant Pot! The reason I love using my pressure cooker for hard boiled eggs is because of how easy it makes peeling eggs. If you’ve ever gone to peel an egg and lost half of your egg with the shell you know the struggle. This recipe is also quick and pretty hands-off!

I love keeping hard boiled eggs on hand because of how versatile they are. They make a wonderful snack or on the go breakfast. And of course you can’t forget classic egg salad and deviled eggs!

5-5-5 Method

The 5-5-5 method is a fool proof way to make perfect hard boiled eggs! It includes pressure cooking on high for 5 minutes, allowing a natural release for 5 minutes and followed by a 5 minute ice bath. If you like a softer yolk you can also use the 4-4-4 method! It works the same way was the previous method just shortening it a minute.

Tips For Perfect Eggs

Notice how the shell is pretty much separated from the egg white? Thats what makes pressure cooking eggs so amazing! The steam allows the shell to separate from the membrane creating an effortless peel.
