Why bless your husband? A great marriage is built day to day not just when you can find time to get away. In order to receive the beautiful companionship that is marriage, you have to work for it. The best things in life don’t come easy it takes work. Pour yourself into your husband. He’s chosen you to be wife, to be the one to fill his cup and give him the love he needs. You’re the only one that can give him that and its no small feat.

There is something so completely beautiful in having a life partner. Growing, building and living life together as one. This is not only incredibly fulfilling its also how we were designed as humans.

My husband is one of my greatest blessings from God. His love is a gift that I open every day.

I absolutely adore this quote because it really shines a light of how much we are to cherish our husbands. My husband is one of my greatest blessings from God and because of that I always strive to not only tell him this but to make him feel it. I want him to know without a shadow of a doubt he’s one of my absolute top priorities.

I think we’ve gotten really caught up in a world that strives on independence and separation. Honestly, I think it comes from a really jaded standpoint. Many people seem to be playing out a societal and generational fears. Our society is so afraid to get hurt and taken advantage of. Its important to be cautious of who you allow in your heart. However, I don’t think we should completely run from true companionship either.

Pray For Him

Always pray for your husband and never stop praying for him. Pray for him as much as you can. This is the simplest way to bless for him. Start praying over him at work, holding him while he sleeps to pray over him etc. In all areas his pray for him.

You have to truly love your husband. I encourage you above all else to pray on how you can best love your husband. In addition to prayer, I hope you find these tips on how to bless and love your husband helpful and encouraging.

Bless Him With His Love Language

There is an amazing book The Five Love Languages by, Gary Chapman. I love this book! We all have one of these dominate ways we feel the most loved. We all have a way we best feel loved. When showing love to your husband you may be expressing love through YOUR love language. Now anyway you show love is great. If you want him to to receive the full spectrum of the love you’re giving start speaking his love language! I recommend reading this book and taking the quiz with your husband. Its such a blessing to learn each other’s love language. Being efficient in the way you love your husband is a wonderful way to bless him.

Bless Your Husband With Affection

AFFECTION! This one is HUGE… Wives here’s a not so secret “secret” men love affection this absolutely includes intimacy it also includes non-sexual touch. Both types of affection are really important for men. Rejection of affection can have really damaging effects on a man and your marriage. Put your hand on his lap, give him a massage, sit close to him and of course be very giving in the area of sexual intimacy. We hear lots of controversy on this topic in our modern world. However, I stand by it. I truly believe that making an effort in this area is a sure way to make your husband feel incredibly blessed.

Be His Aid In Life

This pours over into so many areas of life. I’m blessed to be a stay-at-home mom. I love it because it’s my job to be my husband’s aid in life. This includes all the little things like getting up in the morning with him. Make sure he gets a nice breakfast in, making his coffee, doing the laundry, master the skill of cooking delicious home cooked meals etc. This is a valuable job. I remember what it was like when we both worked full time and it was hard on our family. Make his home life easier so he can thrive! If our husbands are going providing for us the least we can do as wives is be their aid.

Support His Dreams

Some husbands are visionaries, and some aren’t. If your husband is not a visionary dreamer help him vocalize potential dreams and spark the things that inspire him. Know you husband. Identify the things he’s good at and ask him questions. Try to help him cultivate things to dream about. We all need dreams and goals in life to help us grow and be excited for the future. You can be a wonderful teammate to your husband. Be an activator and supporter! Help him make his dreams a reality and get excited for the topics he finds enjoyment in.

Take Care of Yourself

There are so many reasons to take care of yourself this includes mentally and physically! Theres nothing life giving about a overworked and stressed out wife. When it comes to mental, I think we’ve all struggled with difficult seasons of life. We need to be really honest with ourselves. Take action to thrive mentally so we can put our best selves forward for our family. We also need to put the hard work in when it comes to our physical bodies. Learning to nurture our physical beauty and not destroy it. Try to figure out the little things you do to your hair and makeup that your husband seems to enjoy.

Saying “I do” were two of the most important words we could have said to our husbands. That promise is not to be taken lightly and neither is your love.
